Maritime data collection with remote controlled surface vehicle.
Maritime Robotics makes use of super smart sensor systems to create unmanned boats that are used for seabed mapping and other maritime purposes. When backpacking in Asia with her 7 months old son, Anne (our client) had to repair her pram several times. She felt the need for a protective flight bag for prams and came to us with this idea. We helped her design and industrialise the product, and 2 years later her company was acquired by the Norwegian company Stokke, and the PramPack now lives on in their product range. North Sea Electronics develops demanding high technology electronics for extreme environments. EGGS has in cooperation with Minoko supported North Sea Electronics in designing and prototyping the TrackLog. TrackLog can be used as a stand-alone data-logger, a sensor package for streaming data to a computer, or as a black box that records data based on trigger levels. Product- and packaging design of a complete series of ice-cleats.
Starting from the hypothesis that the perfect ice cleat does not exist, EGGS worked with Enklere Liv to conceptualize and design a complete series of ice-cleats that respond to different user needs. The series consists of heel-cleats, mini-cleats, extreme-cleats, running-cleats, as well as spiked walking- and running shoes. Designing the complete voting experience for Norwegian elections.
EGGS assisted the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development in designing a complete range of voting material, including ballots, ballot box, booths, signage, graphic elements, and website. The voting concept is designed-for-all, and assists the voters through the whole voting process. The concept is implemented with great success, and was in 2011 in use in more than half of Norwegian communities. It has received numerous design awards and international renown. Design of a service for diabetic immigrant women.
Studies show that immigrant women are more likely to suffer from Diabetes. Vestre Viken Hospital and Drammen Kommune created DiaHelse to cope with this challenge. EGGS Design worked together with health care personnel in gathering user insight, defining the service journey, and designing communication material related to the course. The project was the winner of “Statens designkonkurranse”, and serves as source of inspiration for example for countless communities in Norway.
